Rhodes - you rocked

Rhodes delivered the perfect blend of performance and relaxation, combining quiet mountain roads, spectacular coastal scenery and authentic Greek hospitality. Over four unforgettable days, our riders conquered a demanding 2000 m climb on challenge day, explored picturesque villages and ancient landmarks, and recovered with incredible local food, crystal-clear seas and beachfront sunsets.

It perfectly captured the spirit of the Challenge Series: an epic challenge day to test yourself, balanced with time to experience the very best the island has to offer.

Highlights

  • Conquered the official Njinga Rhodes Challenge Ride (114km & 2,000m climbing)
  • Climbed through pine forests, olive groves and traditional mountain villages
  • Visited the stunning whitewashed town of Lindos and its ancient Acropolis
  • Cycled to Prasonisi, where the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas meet
  • Tackled the optional "Little Goat" timed climb for Njinga bragging rights
  • Relaxed on beautiful beaches with post-ride swims and celebratory drinks
  • Enjoyed authentic Greek cuisine at handpicked local tavernas

Day-to-day Schedule

| 40km | 170m

After settling into our stunning private villas, the group built their bikes and headed out on a relaxed 40km spin to Kattavia. It was the perfect opportunity to test the bikes, loosen the legs and soak up the first taste of Rhodes.

| 115km | 2000m

The signature challenge ride took the team deep into the island's mountains, tackling over 115km and 2,000m of climbing through pine forests, monasteries and traditional villages. A thrilling forest descent and one final brutal climb in the afternoon heat tested everyone's resolve before a well-earned finish by the beach.

| 61km | 620m

The group followed Rhodes' spectacular east coast to the beautiful whitewashed town of Lindos, with some riders taking on the optional Alpe d'Rodos climb. Time to explore the ancient streets, enjoy lunch overlooking the Acropolis and finish with a refreshing swim made for an unforgettable day.

| 44km | 370m

A challenging day in the saddle climbed through the picturesque mountain villages of Profilias and Istrios before descending to Rhodes' rugged west coast. An optional detour to the breathtaking Prasonisi Beach and a celebratory cocktail by the sea provided the perfect reward.

The Njinga Difference.

Most cycling trips feel transactional. Ours feel like family.

You’ll be welcomed like an old friend, fuelled like a champion, and supported like a pro. From epic climbs to espresso stops, and celebratory pasta feasts at the villa — this is what keeps riders coming back again and again.

"I made the best decision, from the minute I got off the plane the people were lovely and the atmosphere was so welcoming from everyone. The rides were hard but fun. And I felt I accomplished what I’d set out to do. The support by the ride captains was spot on."
