A Cycling Coach Who Gets You
Expert knowledge. Extensive experience. Genuine Passion.
I know what it’s like to feel burnt-out and overwhelmed because I’ve been there.
After leaving my home country, Malawi, I built a career that led to me becoming CEO of a multinational sports marketing company before the age of 40. I was living the dream… big deals. High stakes. Lots of international travel. Living in London, New York & Melbourne. But the cost of my success was my personal well-being.

My calling found me.
I only fell into cycling after a serious injury ended my rugby aspirations. At the time, I weighed 95kg – an asset on the rugby field, but the bulk was holding me back on the bike. So, I started learning about performance science.
What immediately stood out was that it wasn’t just about bike skills. I started learning about training to lower your injury risk – something I was especially mindful of after my career-ending rugby injury. I learnt about cycling mindset coaching and sports psychology for cyclists, the value of sports nutrition for cyclists and the importance of breathwork, mobility, and even yoga for cyclists.
What began as a hobby became my passion, ultimately leading me to study numerous coaching qualifications, leave the corporate world, and begin a new and more fulfilling career as a fulltime cycling coach (and entrepreneur) in the UK– now worldwide through our Njinga online cycle coaching platform.
I wanted to transform my cycling. I transformed my life.
The combination of physical training, nutrition, and mindset was a revelation for me – especially as I was already older than many cyclists around me and not getting any younger!
By combining these three components into a structured programme, I realised I could get better results in a much shorter period of time without feeling burnt-out or getting injured.
I lost 26kg and then put on 4kg of lean muscle. With my improved power-to-weight ratio, my performance improved dramatically. I got into racing and represented Team GB Masters three times at UCI Gran Fondo World Championships. From building my endurance engine to transforming my body, I’ve adapted into an ultra-distance (300km+) and multi-day cycling specialist, experience I now bring to my coaching.
Having achieved these results for myself, I wanted to help other cyclists facing the same struggles I did - high stress, declining performance, rising injury risk, and the pressures of life that come with getting older.
The coaching system for real life.
Experimenting on myself, I developed what would become the Njinga 360 Performance Code – which has helped more than 3 000 riders perform at their best. I can confidently say the system works – because it’s worked for me and all our riders we have coached. Now in my 50s, I am fitter and healthier than I was 20 years ago, and I absolutely love what I do.
My aim is not only to train you smarter, but to educate and mentor you through this transformational journey to becoming the most consistent, high-performing, unstoppable version of yourself.
