An indoor trainer (All require a road bike to connect; some work with the rear wheel in and others work on a drive train system without rear wheel. Examples include Wahoo Kickr, Tacx Neo, Elite Suito. Alternatively, you can complete the remote programme on an indoor bike that can project cadence and power (same applies for the indoor trainer). Examples include Wattbike Atom, Wattbike Nucleus, Wattbike Trainer and Wahoo Indoor bike, etc.
You will also need a laptop or tablet to download the remote software, ANT+ receiver, comfortable cycling kit, water bottle, heart rate strap and a sweat towel.
Our 8-week training plan is suitable for riders of all levels interested in improving their power, speed and stamina ready for the RideLondon Sportive. Whether you are just looking to complete the 100 miles or have a specific time in mind this plan will improve your riding.
There will be 2 x 60 minute on bike training sessions each week. We also recommend following the sessions with a 15-minute post session stretch. There are also optional on and off-bike sessions recommended each week and a longer ride outdoors if you have more time available to train. You will also have access to the Njinga Cycling Academy for 100s of hours of on-demand content to improve your cycling even further.
This on-demand training plan for RideLondon is part of our monthly membership platform - the Njinga Cycling Academy. You will be charged £39 per calendar month for access to the plan. You can cancel at any time. For this price you will also get access to all out other comprehensive training options, meal plans, mindset sessions etc as part of the Academy. If you opt to go for the Platinum pricing option, there will be a ONE OFF upgrade price of £149 to include 3 x 20 minute individual coach calls to really support you in achieving your RideLondon goals.
The RideLondon Training Plan itself is 8 weeks, so the minimum time we recommend is 2 months to ensure you complete the training plan. However you can cancel at anytime and the monthly payment will not auto renew. You will still have access until the end of the month for which you have paid. If you do want to stay on past the 8 weeks and continue to benefit from all our other training options you can. You simply need to cancel the monthly membership in order to stop the monthly payments whenever you are ready.
